Situated in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Derbyshire countryside, Tissington Hall will provide an idyllic setting for your perfect day.

This magnificent seventeenth century building and its wonderful gardens can be hired for the exclusive use of you and your wedding guests, allowing you to celebrate your special day in real style.

Our Wedding Co-Ordinators have many years of experience in the industry and will see to your every need and guide you through the planning process to the big day itself, to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

We work with a range of fantastic local suppliers and will happily advise you on everything from accommodation providers, DJs, florists and hairdressers.

No two weddings are the same, and we will always strive to go that extra mile to make your day unique.

Tissington Hall has been home to the FitzHerbert family for over 400 years. The hall was built in 1609 by Francis FitzHerbert to replace the moated fortification that guarded the Norman Church of St Mary’s that straddles the hill in the centre of the village.

Tissington is one of the prettiest villages in Derbyshire, situated just north of the market town of Ashbourne. With its annual Well Dressings Week as its lead attraction, many visitors come to the village to enjoy the countryside and sample the county’s heritage.

At Tissington we are fully licensed for civil ceremonies and can offer you a choice of settings in which to host your service.

You may choose from the stone flagged Main Hall, with its superb Jacobean fireplace and dramatic entrance; or the East and West Drawing Rooms which span the width of the house, affording views of the front lawn and the Rose Garden to the rear. There is also the option to get married on the Terrace under the arcade, weather permitting!

If you wish you may get married in the charming Church of St. Mary’s, which is just a short walk from the Hall in the centre of the village.
